Anyone renewed online lately? Just did mine, current one expires in a couple months. How long is the wait these days with the handgun backlog?

Did mine by mail . Took over four months . They billed my visa after three months and then finally sent it out after I called in twice . They said they processed payment but had not gotten around to it yet . I guess with the second call they got a move on . Government efficiency .

About nine years ago my renewal was not coming through.
Called NB and was told it had been forwarded to "E" Div. . . . "I will connect you now".
Told the person who I was and he said . . . "We have a real problem with your application"
What would that be?
"You live on S Drive and your reference lives on S Crescent but you both have the same postal code"
Perhaps because we both get out mail at the same community mail box.
"Oh".

That must have really stung that "PDSOB"!

Had it in he week.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received my renewed non restricted PAL in the mail yesterday. Spot on 1.5 months after sending in for it online.

That is ridiculous. I sent mine in mid April, I expired on May 9th, and I'm still waiting! I phoned in and someone checked my file saying everything is ok. Apparently I'm waiting for the CFO to sign it off.

Update: After one month without any changes to the status online, I decided to call into the CFO. It took several days of calling to even get into the on hold queue. They are so busy that the phone system would just tell me to call back another day then hang up.

Talked to a nice lady, she looked at the application and noticed some small piece of info missing so she updated that and this morning I checked online and it says "application processed and license issued"

My advice would be to renew a year early and/or call in to check on the application after a couple months. They won't contact you to tell you there's an issue.

I agree. Mine was sitting there after initial review, but had gone nowhere even with all info in place. I phoned and it was completed while I was still on the phone. Exact same for my hunting partner, except I got through on the first call, and he had to try multiple days like you. Same outcome though, as soon as he called, they pushed it through immediately.

Squeeky wheel gets the grease!

Mine took less than 1 month from submitting it to picking it up from my post office box.
