Where did you read this? Context helps folks help you out. I still see xbows as being allowed.

The latest generation is very crazy about hunting, target practices and gets rid of pests. It is required to shooting sport so each family member also enjoys our game. So these are diffidently chosen the best big bore air rifles. It is a more versatile product and most useful in pest problems. Air rifle is famous nowadays because the rifle is plinking; it’s so enjoyable and available moderate range in the current market.

Before you purchase the best big bore air rifles, your entire loved one provides education about big bore air rifles for security purposes.

Here is the quote from the regs:

"CROSSBOW - means a bow fixed across a stock witha groove for the arrow or bolt and a mechanism forholding and releasing the string. (NOTE: The useof crossbows is permitted during special bow onlyseasons.)"

It is permitted during special bow only seasons, NOT it is ONLY permitted during bow season.

You can use a crossbow during bow season still!

Am I missing something or is this a contradiction?

Page 12 says,

Where the use of a shotgun is allowed for hunting or trapping big game, an unplugged shotgun holding more than 2 cartridges and firing single projectiles only (slugs) may be used.

Then on page 13 for Black bear, Bobcat, cougar, deer, lynx, wolf and wolverine it states,

shotgun must have a bore size of 20 gauge or larger and use shells of shot size No. 1 Buck or larger.

WOW many GOS closures
And people wonder why no one is posting stories and pictures on this site. The Peace River Moose season is bullshit. Thank your local Indian and the NDP for that. Why we've tolerated a small group of people, designated by race, to run rampant in our Province is beyond me. No quotas for them. No record keeping for them. No monitoring for them. No accountability for them. And if things fall apart, they reap the rewards. The Indians will continue to kill as many moose as they always have. Nothing but legalized poaching.

Exactly, as an Indian that I worked with said, " I shoot first and count tines later". That year he killed 3 moose.

I've had numerous encounters like that over the years. The politicians will look at you and say you need to get over hunting, it's a thing of the past, while at the same time "entrenching" the unfettered right of Indians to kill anything they want when they want. Regs and laws for me but not for Thee. Maybe it's time not to be so concerned about regulations until they start applying them equally to all of us.

I have not had a chance to look at it due to being in a move to another place.
Wouldnt doubt some gos closures however.
Will look at it closely in a couple of weeks.
Not like I am going to do much hunting anyways this season.
Thanks to the OP for posting it

Come now, surely you are not talking about the keepers of the land. Our governments and media continue to support and promote a false narrative and anyone who has a different opinion is a racist. Communism in its purest form.

Keepers of the land. Ha, only have to drive by or through any reservation and look at the properties to see that is a lie. Run down, unkept, piled high with junk and garbage. Sure there's white man properties like that but the vast majority are not.

I have a friend who has been hunting deer for the last few years with an air gun. 150 to 250 ft lbs of energy is what he has to work with depending on projectile. It can be done but a 243 seems like a Cannon in comparison. One option is they can fire arrows faster then a crossbow.

the traditional territories of 34 first nations have existed for time immemorial in this area prior to the creation of wildlife management units and licensed
hunting. hunters are encouraged to learn about the history and culture of the first nation(s) and their traditional territories that you’ll be hunting on. Please respect
the land by leaving your campsites clean and free of garbage and avoid using traditional camp sites and cabins (see the notices on the region 6 map page for
nation specific information and contacts). If you encounter indigenous land guardians during your travels treat them with respect as they fulfill their duties as
stewards of the land and our partners in resource stewardship.
