Haven't been up there in a few years and was thinking of popping in this fall for a muley hunt.

Does anyone know how those highlands faired with the fires and all? Specifically east of the Falkland-Chase Rd, those hills in between there and Salmon Arm...

Might throw down for a bull moose there if we can find another last minute LEH hunter or two to go in on it (not really equipped vehicle or freezer wise so a quarter is about all we would be after)

I hope you take more than a quarter from a moose?

I hope you’re kidding. I highly doubt he would shoot a moose and leave 3/4.

Maybe a backstrap too ;) Though if I can talk caddisgirl into a 3rd freezer I could go halfers.

Just talked to a friend about doing the shared hunt... he's like "umm yeah man, I could definitely take the rest.........?" Lol ... Hey man I gotta fit that island Roosie and Kammy sheep and a blacktail or two somewhere right? j/k

The area and hills you’re looking at was all basically untouched during last years fires so you’ll be good to go.

Lol, got it. Just the way it read so I had to ask. ;-)

It didn't read that way.

It is how You read it, through your confirmation bias lens.

Something to evaluate for self awareness.

That is great news. Thank you!

I was wondering how he could come to that conclusion as well. Knowing Caddis' reputation around here alone would negate the notion that 3/4's of a moose would be left for the buzzards.

Might be worth checking out the burned areas west of the Chase/Falkland Rd as well. I drove through the Monte Lake area last week and the burned areas were pretty lush with the rain we've gotten and all that fresh fertilizer.
Didn't think I'd run the risk of bumping into you in the areas I roam. Lol.
