Hi,

According to sitesandtrailsbc website the Hen Ingram rec site is "Closed due to a wash out on the main road."

I was planning to camp/fish there for the weekend and can't find any other info about this.

Does anyone know if this refers to the access road to the campsite or to the FSR leading to it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you, but...
I got the tip from a very nice gentlemen here I'm sure you know him well. 😁

Could you by any chance ask around about the approximate location of the washout? It would be a great help if possible.

Thank you.

It’s at 3.0km on the Hen Ingram FSR before you get anywhere near the rec site access. With no timeline for repairs yet, you would be well advised to pick somewhere else this weekend.

Luckily there's plenty of Great Lakes out that way

It’s under cut pretty good and the ditch is really soft.

A truck would probably make it, but you never know.
Atv gets by easy

Lots of 4footers out that way last weekend.

Doesn't look too bad.

Also Jacques Lake Rec Site is closed as well, high water table has killed most of the trees in the site and an assessment and falling needs to take place.

Anyone know if they have fixed the road? Looking to head up that way in August

I’d guess it’s fixed but I haven’t seen for myself
there was a big hoe and a grader there for the last 2 weeks but I stayed away from them working.

It has been repaired, bit rough but accessible.
