The lake trout are biting but they are 95 to 105' deep.
The rainbow are anywhere from 15 to 60' deep.
The water is getting murky due to Horsefly river run off.

When were you out tigrr ? I left my place at Plato Sunday morning and was breaking ice on and off all the way to peninsula Bay!! It was bizarre! My diary shows normal water temps mid may to be 45-50F, main body of the lake was reading around 37-40F this weekend. We did ok on char, nothing of any size, picking up most down at 120-150' ...but it seemed quite a bit slower than usual to me.

That's down pretty deep, we usually catch them from 25 to 40 feet down this early.

My boat is still in the repair shop. I talk to the fishermen coming off the lake. I also talk to the Mitchell Bay Landing Resort owner.
I will be out soon. The fish box in the freezer is almost empty.
