Sweet finish

Well I finished off my 07 hunting with a nice 4X4 muley. I crossed a field to a fence line and looked down the field and saw this guy at about 500 yrds. He had been watching me I think as I crossed the field. I knew he was a decent buck but well out of range for me. I tucked in close to the fence (one of those murphy fences made out of poles) and started walking toward him. I kept taking a peek to see if he was still there. I walked to about 200-250 yrds, stopped to size up the situation and he rubbed his scent glands together and started walking toward me. THUMP THUMP!! He just kept coming. There was only an old road between the thick bush and the fence so he was very close to cover. He gave the bush a scrape with his antlers on the way. I waited until he was about 40 yrds away when I shot him. The bullet went in just below the spine and took out his heart with no meat damage. He was well over 200 lbs field dressed, probably 250. So thats my hunting season done. Hope yours was as good. BCKID
