My Ruger American 6.5CM is having an issue with the bolt jamming the cartridge into the end of the receiver instead of up into the chamber. I'm using the Ruger .308 Multi-Caliber replacement magazine from Cabela's, if that makes a difference.

Any advice on what I might do myself or is this a job for a gunsmith? Recommendations?

thanks in advance,
BR

There is an outstanding gunsmith in the lower mainland Gary FLACK ?? I believe his name on this sight is GEF. If he can't fix your gun it can't be fixed. Just don't ask to many questions or he will talk you into building a custom gun. ??? many on this sight can comment on his good work.

does it work properly with the original Ruger mag?
Sounds like the mag lips aren't guiding the cartridge properly, metal it tunable, plastic not so easy

Hal, I dropped the original mag and it broke on a rock. The one I'm using is a Ruger made for multiple calibers including the 6.5CM that I bought at (says in a whisper "Cabelas").

thanks everyone for your suggestions!
