Just got back from shed hunting and had a couple pretty good finds, only two ticks but got bit by one for sure

The 4 point is a really nice shed I had to hold my phone way back to fit it in the screen.

Ahh man that sucks! I could not get up the road to the high country where I found the skull. So I parked at the bottom of the mountain at the closest point to where I wanted to go, it was a brutal hike but worth it. On the way down I had my little keltec in my hand and the skull because it was so steep needed a free hand, the antler pressed the button to release the mag (which was full of bullets). Didn't notice until I got back to the truck that I lost it haha at that point was not going back up that mountain!!

I also found a fresh dark brown unchewed/unfaded 2 point, a spike (first one ever) and another skull small 2 almost 3 point

Ticks are definitely out. I had one latch on last weekend. I’ll be out turkey hunting this weekend, and will be in tick prevention mode. Great finds Mr Observer.

I found a couple of nice ones this season

The matched set i found like 3 feet apart - so definitely lucky there.
They score 71 5/8 for Left one and 73 2/8 for right one
My best guestimate on width 17.5" gives them a 162"+ gross!

The single doesn't score as well. About 65" but has 18"+ of mass with 5.5" bases!

Always very exciting to find fresh ones that haven't been touched by rodents yet. I'm not sure if its the lack of availability or what, but of the few blacktail sheds i've found, i find they fare way worse than mule deer sheds. I've found some muley sheds bleached white and still not touched by rodents.

Man very nice set!! No fading or chewing at all, also on the single. You must have gotten out there right away/very early

End of April. I would figure they had been under snow most of the time since they dropped.

Yeah most likely they kept very well!
