Looking to lighten the recoil on my 30-06. Anyone have recomendations?
I've added a limb saver recoil pad that helps. My colar bone is all plates and screw recon so I'm a bit of a snowflake when it comes to recoil.

I have used these with no issues.

Haven’t tried one but have heard good things about the Coretac solutions

Dennis Sorensen (guntech on this site) makes very nice muzzle brakes and will thread the barrel to accommodate. I would contact him.

Youre right, but I think he just retired.... buy a gun threaded or braked already is my suggestion

Don't forget quality ear protection once you put that on.

My God are those things insanely loud!

Center fire rifles are loud... stand beside the muzzle without ear protection and find out... stand behind a shooter using a brake and it's no louder...

This "brakes are so loud" is over exaggerated. They only seem louder if you are beside the shooter or in a partially enclosed range... and you are supposed to be using ear protection anyway.

A decelerator pad or a good shooting vest is a better way to go. IMO.

Sell the .30/06 and buy a lighter kicking rifle would be my recommendation.
