Ali:

FYI - Not a good thing to say Peter's a guide. It's a regulated industry.

I know you meant that he hosted the boys out for a fun trip, but this could get the real guides 'crap' tied in knots....

Know wadda mean?

Mr Dean....you can "guide" on the Fraser no problem....just don't charge...

I "guide" customers of mine quite frequently out sturgeon fishing, my boat, gear, bait and beverages....pick'em up and drop them off....

The guiding on the river is getting a terrible name with all the fly by night boys trying to make a fast buck...you should see some of the so called guide boats out there...

I wouldn't limit the fly by night guides to this terrible name. A vast majority of the guides from reputable companies/outfits are complete idiots too. It is a short lived industry and I can't wait to see what happens when the river is closed indefinitely. Most of the guides are in it to exploit the resources while they can.

I wasn't posting pics to advertise for the guides I was posting to show a nice thing we sometimes like to do for hard workers to have a fun day with thier bosses and if the rivers do close indefinitely it is really sad becasue most sport fishermen are just that sport (and conservation conscious)

Actually you cant say your "guiding" your clients without a "guides" license. You can be legally charged in doing so. You can take your friends out fishing though:biggrin:

Sorry Ali for high jacking, just had to put my 2 cents in. BTW nice fish. Looks like they had alot of fun. I do miss being a guide this time of year:grin:

I agree they are great pics. One of them looks to be at least 6'. With all the smiles, seems like everyone had a great time.

My biggest dino is a 7' out of the Harrison River, not a fish I will ever forget.

I guide on the Fraser and Harrison, I hope I'm not an idiot..
Pretty uniformed comments when you blanket most guides with such nasty comments...
I'm not in it to exploit anything ,mostly for the love of fishing, just ask my wife, it definately doesn't show on our books as a cash cow..Glad I don't rely on guiding for all my livelihood.
