Well we headed out to region 8 youth for saterday and sunday for any buck. After passing up alot of spikes, 2's, a 3 and missing a couple 4's, we were expecting alot of spikes and 2 points. When we got up to the top of the mountain we never saw one deer. We worked till about 2:30 saterday looking for a deer in general. We pull up to a cut block and spot a spike walking away from us at about 150 yards. We use a bleat call and a few grunts and within 5 minutes he is back in view. I shoot him and get my first deer of the year. The next day (sunday) closing day, we are up at first light and return to the very same cutblock. We see a fawn and eventually after 5 minutes of watching it we see the little guy look back. We see the doe walk out and they both take off. We decide to still look where they were, and within 1 minute another spike almost identical to the one I shot before steps out and my buddy who is younger then me took him. All in all our trip was a good one. Season over for me now, but hey it was a great one!

Heres a pic, hopefully it works.

Yeah unfortunatly sep 1'st I saw to huge bucks one was a clean 4x4 and I shot and missed from far back. Later that night I saw a wide one could not count points but it was bigger then any deer I have ever seen. Was almost dark and I could not get a shot.

Good job on the Nail Head boys! I was chatting with another young fellow here on Saturday that took a 2x3 in the new youth season - he was just stoked!

Good to see our new youth season is working as intended, getting the young folks out hunting.
