Hey gents,
I’m an adult-onset-hunter and am very eager for the upcoming season, I have a place right by the water on the Sunshine Coast and I noticed that you are allowed to shoot a shotgun at sea?
I can imagine it’s for diver duck hunting but I’ve never seen anyone out hunting or heard any shots. A quick google search leads me nowhere at least for the Sunshine Coast. Is it a viable hunt? Can I throw decoys off my dock?

You can't shoot within 100 meters of a dwelling or in a no shooting area, some are covered under municipal bylaws so proceed with care. It's your dock toss all the decoys you like, no law against it.

Ya you could shoot divers. And yes shot only looks like 500m boundary.
dock would work. Divers for sure pass by. Need to be able to get em though after your shoot. So May as well anchor in the boat and hunt off shore a bit or near a rock or shallow shoal area where they feed.
