Looking for pointers and experience for a 10-14 day moose hunt ideally in Northern BC.
Trying to provide my father-in-law (75, life long hunter from Germany) the full BC hunting experience. It's been a life long dream, now he tasked me to make it happen. No pressure...

I've personally been after deer and small game in the southern BC, but never hunted North of 100 Mile. We will 3 ppl tops 4ppl (mixed bag of resident/ non-resident hunters)

Any pointers, experiences, guides you know will be a huge help. Thanks for sharing your stories and helping me making it happen.

Sounds like a lake-based hunt might be best, having a certain amount of luxury and a good hideout from weather would be appreciated
Euro hunters usually have the patience to sit and watch a shore line , fish a bit , maybe whack a wolf
imo far better than driving around yodeling at cutblock ghosts

Definitely put in for LEH, both Moose & Elk. GOS & guided hunt can still be on the table, but chances of success if you win a draw are much better than GOS. Don't know about guided never been on one, no doubt pricey. Myself & 2 buddies have had success both on Moose & Elk LEH. Moose was 6 south of Vanderhoof & Elk was on the island near Sayward. Island Elk draw is pretty high odds.....

It sounds like it’s going to be a mighty expensive trip.
