Nice setup and nice shooting. How do you like the Rocky Mountain? Never seen or tried one. It looks like its pretty compact - do you know how wide it is from limb to limb?

Wow that's pretty sweet. Thought my Micro Suppressor at just under 2 feet un-cocked was narrow. Must be a bit easier sneaking through the timber with that thing eh? Thanks for letting me know and good luck this year

Check out the Kamloops gun show. Talk to an older fellow named Roman. He will have a table there. He builds custom guns and might be able to point you in the right direction.
He built a 338 federal for my neighbour on a Model 88.

How's the Xbow been so far? Any issues? I borrowed my dads PSE Fang and had one of the limbs explode so bought one of these as a replacement but haven't even assembled it yet. Did you just use the scope that came with it?

the Xbow has been absolutely awesome,,,,,,,im dialed in center at 30 yards,,,,the scope it comes with is awesome so far,,,,,,center crosshair 30 yards,,,,,the hash mark above center crosshair is 20 yards,,,,hash mark below center crosshair is 40 yards,,,,,,i would never attempt to shoot at a deer/bear beyond the 40 yard mark,,,,to much chance of jumping the string,,,,,only issue im having is getting a replacement string//cables,,,,i can order outa states for like $170,,(way to much for a string),,,or i can go to kelowna,,,and get a custome string/cables made,,but id have to drive down there to drop bow off so they can replicate the string/cable,,,,,takes 3 days to do,,,,then id have to drive back down there to pick it up,,,,pain in the azz

Actually B-rad, I haven't gotten out once yet this year which is strange for me. However, I've got a great trip planned for May long. My 13 year old son and I have been doing a "father-son annual" spring bear hunt for the last four years on the long weekend. This year it gets even better, I am picking up one of my nephews (11 years old) from 100 mile and bringing him back to join us on our annual. I'm pulling them out of school on Friday and we'll get into the woods until Monday. I'm really looking forward to this long weekend. Nothing better than treating an eager youngster to a weekend in the woods with hopefully his first witness to a harvest.
good luck with your seasons

That’s about the only thing I don’t hunt..
im not much further south than you, but rarely see them.. but I’d imagine the wide open areas are terrible for them with all the birds of prey? May have to move a bit north and see if I can get a few for the variety.

Regrowth cut-blocks with conifers in the 10-15 year age range, with alder lining the roads I find are the best habitat for snowshoe hare...

Too bad you didn't get a draw B rad but I'm sure you'll do well, you always seem to, good luck..

nice, what grain are you shooting out of the model 88? I picked up a pre 64 topped with a vintage 4x redfield scope in 308 for a good price recently, it’s not mint by any standard but in darn good shape for an older rifle. I’ve been having a hard time deciding if I want to keep it in the safe or take it out in the bush regularly, I think your photo swayed me in the right direction, thanks
