Headed up to 5-2 5-14 for the long wekend and went out saturday, buddy had a doe draw but was to slow on the trigger to put one down, so Saturday was just another day in the books for me without whacking anything, so we went out sat. night and drowned my sorrows.

Sunday we got up and headed out north east of Williams Lake and it was finally my day, my Buddy and I headed out and weren't even were we wanted to be or out of the truck for that matter and we turn a corner and theres a 2 point standing on the side of the road, BUCK FEVER sets in I stall the truck and he runs into the bush before I even have my gun loaded, so we walk in a bit to see if he stuck inside the timber, no such luck. I figure this is just going to be one more day of many to add to my collection of no game. We decide to go back to the truck and see if we can cut him off at the next slash and before we can get in the truck buddy yells theres another one. So I see it headed into the timber and give chase, I can see him hopping along and figure the bush is so thick I'll never get a shot off but I kneel down give a whistle and he turns broadside 50 yards right in the engine room and he drops right to the ground http://huntshoot.coastangler.com/hunting/images/smilies/wink.gif , through all the excitement I didn't realize I had followed him in about 400 yards, needless to say a heavy haul out and I FINALLY have my first big game animal.

Congratulations. The first one is always great. You should do a european mount of the antlers too.

You can bet someone here will post up, offering assistance on a Euro mount, as a trophy for you first Kill. I would, but not close enough.
