Here's the few pics I took of Cliffs buck after we dragged him up the hill with my pickup. We had to use all of three 75' long lenghts of rope to reach him, and that was after a drag by hand out of a river and across the valley bottom. By far the best hunt I have yet to go on, in the end it really had it all. That first shot in the morning, knowing cliff shot one. Then there was the fear/frustration of maybe not finding the animal, but the heart got pumping all over again when we found the escape trail leading to the river. When the Deer was down(and back on dry land) the feeling was unreal. The whole thing was a real team effort and a hell of a lot of fun.

Here's Cliff with his first Whitetail Buck...also an HBC fan.

This is on top looking down, not a great shot but you can see Cliff way down there...

Here's the buck just after he came up over the top, the bed sheet worked great keep dirt etc. out of the cavity. Nice and clean.

This one makes it look like he rode the Deer all the way up....

Congratulations Kishman and cowboy-up69,
You guys give a new meaning to the term horn porn:eek:. It is good to see members get together for a hunt and a successful one at that8)8). The pictures are a great add on to the story. Having had a chance to meet Kishman, I know you two had a blast. Kishman, I hope you haven't forgotten you said you would come bassin with me. Didn't have time past summer but maybe in the spring 08 after bear season.

As a matter of fact I haven't forgotten, I think it'd be a lot of fun! I'm sorry to hear you didn't get out this year, I know from talking with you how much you enjoy this fishery. Tell ya what, why don't we get out for a lunch or something and talk about it some more:smile::smile:
