I want to take a moment to congratulate my hunting partner on his first Mule Deer Buck. This year Spencer and I decided to get up into the alpine for a late-season mule deer hunt. As usual, things didn't go exactly as planned. That being said, we saw some cool new country, had a super challenging hunt and had a great time chasing deer in the high country. We did our best to capture it on film and hope you enjoy the results. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to drop them below.

Sitka was also kind enough to let me give away a brand new Kelvin Aerolite Sleeping bag. This is the same bag I used on this hunt. Detailed review coming soon but I will say I was surprised how much I liked it once I got used to it. Click the link below for your chance to win.

Awsome trip guys. Meat is meat and looks like you were doing something right. I hear ya about the deer being timbered up and trying to hunt in wet snow. I hate hunting in snow even in good conditions because of the noise. Im a predominant alpine hunter myself right up until the animals are nocturnal then its time to hunt the timber but just not in snow.lol. awsome video and commentary. Keep up the good work.

Great video. Would have loved to see footage of Spencer walking up to his first mulie but I can appreciate the time crunch. Beauty country up that way.

Another great video. October can be a tough time to hunt mulies in my opinion. You guys got deep into some beautiful country tho. It looked like a great adventure. I don’t care what anyone thinks; meat earned in that manner tastes way better than a buck shot off the road. Good job.

Thanks as always for the support guys. I love making these things to glad you like watching them. Agreed, there is still room to improve and there are a few things I wish I had more footage of. I'm always taking notes and trying to get better so appreciate the feedback.

Great video. So much was familiar, from the terrain to the pretty much accepting no deer, bullshitting and then walking up on some!

We were just in a similar area - fir, grassy openings, etc.

My wife wants to know: how come we get so much blowdown but you didn’t?

Nice work on the buck!
