Heading up to the Beaverdale hunting 8-12 area for the first time, what are the chances of immature moose? or should we concentrate on deer? If using predator call for wolf what is the chance of Yogie showing up are there lots of griz in the area? Any hints for a fella?

Good spot to get a unicorn. But would focus on deer. Closer to valley bottom for white tails. The odd grizz, lots of wolf!

Just returned from 8-14 near Damfino area, so relatively close... Unicorn numbers are way up!!!!! In general, animal numbers in that area are almost non existent from what they have been in past years.. Seen very little sign of anything migrating through. Lots of bear sign, and yes watch for the odd grizz and definitely wolf......

Just spent the last 3 days in 8-12 and 8-14, likely the worst hunting I have had there in the last 20 years. Very few animals.

Wow you must have a good spot with the warm weather we found it very slow.

Lots of road hunters.

We get off the roads, even in 100 m it's amazing the game trails you find. Lay of land, draws, bluff bases, steep terrain.

Lay in wait at intersections our best bets.wind in favor. It works.

we spent 12 days in 8-12 (Trapping Creek) saw a few deer daily, no moose, a few wolf tracks, no bear. Cut a tag on a whitey buck. few and far between.

I usually hunt wt in 8-12 but tried 8-9 for a change (Chute Lake and OK Mtn Park area). Saw 8 deer and chased a spiker moose for way too far until we lost him in a swamp. The difference between the two units is incredible. For my style of hunting, I prefer 8-12, but that’s just me. I’ve seen/heard tons of wolves in both units. The terrain in OK Mtn Park is not for the lazy or faint of heart. If you shoot a big animal more than 100 yards away from a road access, you could be in for some serious work.

I was surprised at the lack of hunters in 8-9.
