Does anyone have any input or advice for areas in 5-3 say churn Creek area.
My main goal this year is either mule deer or black bear.

I think Churn Creek is still closed from the fire.

Yeah, it still says Partially Closed
https://bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/churn_crk/

But can you still drive in, not sure.
Try to find out and let us know!

Does anyone know if you can still park and hike in to Churn? The closure details are vague. I imagine the roads are still open.

I will post drone footage if I end up going out and checking that burn scar

If you are hunting, I would not have a drone in your vicinity.

I know someone that hunted there just the other week and got a 3 pt md.
Lots of folks hunting there, more hunters than deer.
but, if you hike, you will find some.

Does anyone know if this closure will affect access to Empire Valley, Black Dome then down Perlite ? The post is slightly confusing me, says "partially closed"

The area buddy and i are planning on going to is on the south end and far outside of the fire perimeter for late Nov.

If you are hunting, I would not have a drone in your POSSESSION.

Added a little emphasis.

Added a little emphasis.

The redundancy is a little over the top.
It's a provincial park and I am a photographer,
Drones aren't allowed for hunting.
As a tourist I'm allowed to fly a under .250g unit
Within my bounds.

Thanks for the concern but they do make you take a very indepth
Course to obtain a license for these units and I'm well aware of my regulations.

Thanks for the "concern"

You're new to the forums and you have a posts about being a new hunter. You started this thread asking about mule deer and black bear being your main goal. One would only think you are asking about hunting information as this is a hunting forum.
Perhaps make your thread more clear so people know that you're going in as a photographer.

Also, not a great way to start off in a forum with members who are willing to share information to new hunters to help them out.

Be nice and understand people are only looking out for others incase they weren't clear of the regs.

I'm sure the CO will understand that you're a photographer

Tod is correct. The CO is going to say "No drone in your possession while hunting. Got a hunting licence? Got hunting gear in your vehicle/camp? Got a drone? That's it. You're done."

Don't take a drone with you on a hunting trip, even if you don't plan to hunt with the drone.
