Region 7 hunting changes

Well buddies,it looks like for next year there might not be a calf season or a cow calf Leh for region 7.It's posible the Leh numbers for bulls will also go down.I was talking to the Bio down here and that seems to be the buzz for next season.Winter kill,tick,wolve predation and habitat loss is all factoring in to come to the end result,less moose.That is it for a few years until populations come back.If the winters are not to bad and you up north resident hunters thin the wolve population things could bounce back soon.

Dang! The calf hunt has been a tradition in my family. But this year in 7-16 C there was lots of kill, also lots of wolves around. 2 dead cows in the ditches.

Makes me wonder though, there was a dead cow about 300 yards from a guy's grizzly stand, makes you think he shot it attempting to bait a bear?
