I’ll kick it off.

Not my moose, but this is a friend of mine who is a new adult onset hunter. We spent 5 days in a quad only accessible area. I helped him out with calling etc, but no dice. On our last day we packed up all of our gear and on our way back to the truck and he spotted some fresh tracks on the side of the road. He followed them up a spur road where the tracks went and they detoured off right just before a stand of trees. A few hundred metres more up the road and three moose standing in the trees. A cow, a spike-fork and this one. The cow and the bull were pretty upset afterwards. She was balling like I’ve never heard before and the spike-fork was grunting was barking like a German shepherd. I actually felt bad for them.

This is the only pic I took, but I’ll get him to send me a few more

Coincidence that he's drinking a coke with a bottle of 40 Creek at arm's length? Reminds me of my kids;-)

Noted local draws way out of wack this year. Two families, two hunting groups drew 4 Moose!! 2 Moose already down

Happily accepted their invitation to butcher, was generously rewarded with a quarter, now if only i could get a draw for our crew lol

10 years of applying - still no moose LEH for me.
I really ought to stretch my distance a bit further out and go somewhere with better odds or GOS one of these days.

todbartell, can i join you? Does that tent still reek of Gatehouse's farts?

Here’s some more pics for you guys. We had a bunch of kids with us this time, probably part of the reason we couldn’t call one in. Lol. My two kids and three others for 5 days 4 nights.

This is the best I can do for tasteful animal pics. His eyeball was hanging out, so he wasn’t the most photogenic.

It was one of the best trips I’ve been on. Three of the boys shot chickens and cooked them over the fire themselves. Saw one lynx.

Great pictures! Nice to see kids getting evolved in the outdoors.
Thanks for sharing, and congrats to all on a successful hunt.
