Had some luck this weekend and our party came home with a couple of bulls. One is a beaut and I would like to make it a wall hanger (my wife even agreed!!). I have done a couple of deer euros but do not have a container large enough to cook a moose skull.

To those who have done this, what did you use for a pot? Better yet, is there anyone in the Kelowna area willing to loan me a pot/container big enough for the job. Will return clean and with a case of beer or a bottle of wine.

A friend did my moose for me and I think he used a big metal wash tub.

I did extensive defleshing while it was still fresh..the 2 chunks of jaw meat I got were as big as steaks so they went into the burger bag...I cut off the neck joint bone to remove the brains...then I got suited up and pressure washed it...then I let it dry up for awhile and picked off the rest...if you cant find a pot, that may work for you

My moose/bison pot is the lower third of a 45 gallon metal drum.

I use those steel.garbage cans you can get at Can tire. High heat caulk on all the joints and it worked like a charm. Just did my elk in it this last weekend ;)
