Hello,

anyone know of any private hunting grounds in BC where they also have lodges etc.

I want to take my dad out deer hunting, he’s old and camping out in the bush will be hard for him.

Thx in advance

Not private hunting grounds but rentable cabins at the double E, North of Rock Creek. I havent stayed there for years, new owners that look like they have made improvements

You could be in a hotel in Kelowna and be in good deer country in 30 minutes every morning.

that’s a bit of a stretch.. but considering where you live, I guess even seeing a deer would make it good deer country lol you’re looking 90 mins comfortably into the back country from Kelowna to get into GOOD deer country, and I’m talking where you can be selective about your harvest and enjoy the animals as well as filling a tag vs scrambling to shoot the first legal buck you may come across.

the hunt camp suggestion would be perfect, lots of elk and white tail in that area and big bears.

I've never been, personally, but from what i've heard it might be a bit too busy for you guys. I've heard there is lots of traffic and lots of camps throughout.

I would also suggest hunting out of a motel or bed and breakfast in some of the smaller towns: clinton, cache creek, logan lake, princeton etc. I take my dad hunting every year for this type of hunt and we enjoyed pretty decent success for the any buck season.

Feel free to PM me if want some more information.

I wonder if any property owners in hunting areas have figured out the airbnb thing.

this place has relatively new owners, I don't believe that they catered to hunters before. Deer are hit and miss in the area though.
