A 4 point 4 her!

The title about sums it up! My girl Georgia has been hunting along side me nearly every time ive been hunting since my moose/elk trip. She managed to keep her finger off the trigger for quite a few small bucks this year, but as the season is closing soon here, she resolved her standards to the first decent 4x4 goes down! Sunday morn we were feeling lucky as we headed out. We unloaded and took off on my quad to get into some areas I wanted to check out. In 10 minutes we see a guy walking, wearing camo, but no weapon??? We have a chat with him, hes a bow hunter, he just finished hiking up a steep hill about 300 yards from his truck. He tells us how he hiked up here and saw a 4 point buck but forgot his trigger release :cry:. So he puts down his bow and hikes back to the truck to get it. Hiking back up the hill, he sees the 4 point again, and again it was well within bow range, (no bow this time). We have a good chat and a laugh about his story. We carry on down the hill, see this guys truck on the left, so we turn right. not a 100 yards from this guys pickup is the buck, just sniffing the ground dumb as a stump! She made a perfect double lunger freehand shot with her grampas 30.06 and the buck was down within 75 yards! He sure was stinky!

My GF would be tough to get out hunting, but she loves salmon fishing especially on the WCVI just as much as I do!!

This is her third year of hunting, and her third buck! Last year she bagged a 2 point. She got a little spoiled the first year as she bagged this sucker the second time she ever held a deer rifle!
