has anyone been on the tuaton lake or laslui lake area in the last couple of years we got draws and are thinking of canoeing down tuaton and laslui

I made the mistake quite a few years ago of flying into that general area looking for stone sheep, little did I know they weren't there lol. I did manage to see a few moose though. Good luck!

For caribou, the plateau north of Laslui is one of the two main rutting areas for caribou in the spatsizi, they will be plentiful in September up there. Unlikely to see very many near the lake though.

yes the sheep used to all be north of that area ,i guided there in the seventies was a lot of game then but things change thats why i was asking about that area in regards to moose and caribou hoping there is still a good population of moose although i hear the wolves hit them pretty hard

yes thanks for the info what is the moose population like in there it used to be good but I haven't been there in many years.I guided there for several years in the 70's it was full of game beautiful country thankyou for responding

We hunted the area for moose 2 years ago and did well, we weren't at Laslui/Tuaton, but close enough to expect the hunting to be fine in through there. For caribou, you'll have to strap on the hiking boots unless you get very lucky.
