Hey Guys and Gals, Just wondering if anyone knows the status of the (Temporary Ban) on ATV,s in the Elephant Hill fire zone?
This ATV ban was supposed to be a temporary measure and was scheduled to be lifted in fall 2021.
Does anyone have any info.
Thanks Brad

‘The area is great for walking with no ATVs zipping everywhere, it’s actually peaceful.

All I've noticed is now there's more beater trucks and Trackers/Sidekicks rutting and widening trails that were previously just wide enough for ATV's.

From the CO. "Hi Don, Nothing that I’ve heard in regards to lifting those atv restrictions. Take care, Bob"

The FN’s (that started the fire in the first place) will never allow the ban to be lifted! You heard it here first! K

Brad - There is NO or WAS ever any plan to take away the ATV ban from the Area - The PLAN's were in place to restrict the ATV's before the Fire - IT just made it EASY for them after the indians burnt it All ! :-P RJ

When hunting up on top, it's all downhill from there.

Honestly, i am glad to was closed off to ATV.
Not for those that used the roads, but for those that drove them off the roads thru timber making trails.
And yes, doubt you will see the lift for another 20 years, and by then you have to ask, "will we still be allowed to hunt"??

Enforcement would be a better solution, again the good guys are punished because of the acts of a few idiots

Agree, but there never seems to be enforcement when you need them.
I still see the odd ORV trying to hunt in there.
And trust me, they know!
Most certainly need more CO's.
But, i think this government likes reducing opportunity than any other option that is more sensible like your post.
