Hey everyone, just curious - has anyone heard of the Kootenay Elk Hunting Association, or have any more info on them? I was looking into Elk initiatives and general Region 4 things and came across their website. They seem fairly new but eager to get involved in the region, and were featured in a local news article. Couldn’t find any past threads on them.

They are based in castlegar i think. The website is a bit thin and i have elk hunted around their area for 20 years and not come across them before. It would be nice to see some local initiative but to get people engaged you need more than a website.

An elk hunting youth mentorship would be a great way of getting a younger crowd into the sport. The future of hunting is this next generation.
