Stave Lake Bull Draw 2020/2021

Anyone get the bull draw up stave last year or this year ? Managed to draw one for this year, super excited about it and already counting down the days.

Know the area pretty well but any tips are great.

Don't shoot the first bull you see.. There are some absolute monsters coming out of those transplant zones. Congrats on a once in a lifetime draw!

My neighbor drew Stave bull for this year. There will be at least two of you out there, unless of course this is you, Larry? Then you’re still on your own;)

if you are referring to Larry H, he is on here very rarely as Sasquatch.

I love that area. Did Lay-out in the mid 2000s up there. It’s frickin steep, we had one block we called Jenny Craig. Everyone dropped at least 10lbs hiking in over a week. Good luck!! Watch out for Sasquatch and hairy foresters.

Nice up there. I singled stemmed trees out of there about 8 years ago. Seen some big elk up there around the 11km mark.

Definitely dont cut your tag on a dink bull .... there are some crankers in there!

Once in a lifetime. I would put all my eggs in 1 basket for this season, if i had that draw.
- Secure transportation by boat, including ATV
- Find best time to go - HBC should be good for that
- I would book 7-10 days to find a cranker.
- If you have a boat, i'd go up now - Leave salt and some cams around :)
