Colored bear

All my time hunting and guiding I've only seen maybe 3 or 4 bears this color. To find a boar this size and color, with a hide this nice........

My spouse took this beauty with a 308, 130ttsx from about 50 yards. We actually saw this bear several days earlier, but were unable to get a shot.

Square measurement is over 6 foot, and estimated weight around 300#

Wow, thats an absolute beauty.

I saw a very similar colored black bear several years back while hunting a spring griz leh in MU 4-25. It was a very large black bear that I initially thought by color alone was a griz.

I still kick myself for passing on him.

What a dandy - congrats to you and your spouse. I hunt an area where these blondish bears are fairly common, but only ever seen 1 that might have been pushing 6ft - so to find one that size is super rare. Well done indeed!

There certainly are some great colored phased bears here in BC.
I couldn't get close enough to a big old guy that was "orange" years back.
