I read here somewhere (I think) that canoes can be rented at Coldfish lake in Spatsizi. Anyone able to confirm if this is correct?
Thanks

There was a time you could. Not sure about now, I would check with BC parks Smithers office. They can give you the current situation.

They have a canoe there and might let you use it for a paddle but not for a over nighter or hunting trip to get far back. I think its at the discretion of the current host whos there.

Anyone suggest a decent packraft that won't break the bank?

I flew into Coldfish 2 years ago. There are no boats or canoes for rent at Coldfish.
One of the other guests who flew in with Alpine Lakes Air had rented a canoe at Tatoga Lk. It was strapped to the 206 and flown in.
Might be an option for you.

When I was there in 2017 there was a parks boat for the hosts but that was all. They offered to take us fishing if we wanted to go when they weren't busy. nice people that year.

They won’t let you borrow the boat I tried in 2019. They will take you fishing that’s it.
