Must say toughest deer to hunt on this planet but patients pays of in the long run just got in and tagged the biggest blacktail I ever shot called him in at 40 feet before I took him otherwise I think he would have run me over awesome buck unfortunately pictures could take some time though I hope not to long this deer has great mass as well as lots of points pretty damn excited and tired all at once.
3 km drag back to the truck but worth every penny scenery was great as well and that was the buck #4 I called in that morning so I assume there getting into full rut because the bucks I called came all in using a bleat call with a combo of buck grunts and some antler rattling work pretty damn good.:o

Well done. A good friend of mine just pulled a brute out of the hills above Chealis, it's been green scored in the mid 130's. I'd have to say you need that pig measured!!!

Congrats again!

Just curious, were you using buck grunting or doe bleats or a combination of both.

Is calling in Mule deer really that hard? I've only been hunting 2 years but I've called in 1 doe north of highway 24 to within 8 feet of me, 1 other deer in Chilliwack I never saw because it winded me and took off, and one 2 point mulie in Lone Butte that we just ate for supper today. I don't even know if I'm using the call properly! All calls made with Deer Talk distress call. Congradulations on huge deer!
