Bear Hunting Powell River

Thinking bout doing a trip to Powell river to chase black bears. Any advice for the area would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Just saw a good looking bear on Tuesday heading up the Goat main logging road south of town around 4 pm. If your going to go up the logging roads make sure you have a radio with the correct frequencies. Or wait until the weekends, lots of logging activity going on.
I have seen quite a bit of sign on the back roads lately. Good time to get a spring bear.

I was just there. Very little sign compared to my usual hunting spots. In speaking with some local hunters if they see a couple of bears a day that's pretty good. There's lots of logging going on in there, bring a radio for your safety.
