Decided to go to the lake, roast some weiners and enjoy the day with the wife and kids when this guy decided to walk out in front of us.

It was a good day except for the dam bugs, I pulled it off the road and into some bushes so as not to alarm any passer byers as I cleaned it and I must have pulled into starving mosquito land, they ate me alive. My lip is so swollen it looks like I got punched!

My kids were disappointed we skipped the fire and hot dogs, but my wife had fun snappin pics.

Thanks, but I guess I shouldn't tell you about last week when I got off work early and decided to go wheelin/road huntin. My first year of hunting has been full of blessings, between these 2 and my doe tag, it has been fun.

Was that a hole near his right eye? or just damage from the fall?

Yeah I'm pretty embarrased about that.
I must have a consistent pull up and to the left or my scope has moved since I sighted it in, because I aimed kill zone and both times I hit right in the head (up and left). I'm gonna have to go to the range and practice standing shots.

Thanks again, I think I'd like to thank the rut for making the deer easier to see from the road. This guy's kneck is so swollen he looks like he's got a scarf on under his coat.;)

Not sure how to describe it......not quite at that steep burmed turn before the bridge over the creek?, hadn't made it to any of the bays yet. The smaller one was a little ways before Sunrise Lake turn off in a cut.
