In the arena of wildlife conservation, there are few that have influenced me more than that man. I am sure even he was not aware of how deep it ran. I can only hope to continue his passion and ensure there are many "slayers" to come...
RIP Coach!

R.I.P. Sean
I will miss our hunts together, especially the one we took your daughter on.
That one goes down as my favorite I've ever been the part of. Thank you.
For Tracey and the kids...I am so sorry...Sean was my friend and a good man. His biggest joy in life was his family. All else was secondary.
If there is anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to call. I will reach out to you soon.
Thinking of you all and my friend, I miss him.

I stopped by to see Seans wife, Tracy today.
She is doing as well as can be expected. As are the kids.
She mentioned that it was her and Seans desire to bring together family and friends to celebrate and remember him at a later day, after Covid has passed and we can safely gather.
Tracy did want me to say "thank you" and that she is grateful to all that have reached out to her, posted on social media, and have her and the kids in their thoughts. She is such a gracious lady.
Talking to her, like now... I am tearing up. Heaven is a better place today with Sean in it.

Whether we knew him personally or not, the one thing we know is that we lost a very good friend. A valiant crusader for the resident hunting community and an advocate for fair treatment of the fellow hunter afield.
Knowing that you rest in peace Coach. So long, 'til we meet in the bye and bye.
I extend my sincere condolences to Tracey, their children, extended family and close friends.

I can't really think of anyone on this board that has done more for our at times threatened hunting and outdoor ways of life than Coach. I'm glad I got to meet Coach briefly on the lawn at the BC Leg actually after he had just given a speech that blew any and all of the politicians' out of the water. A class act, gentleman and a very wise man he will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family and his close friends. RIP Coach I hope there's booner 5x5s and an eagle every hole where you are now.

While I never had the pleasure of meeting Coach, I recall a more than a few high quality threads, and always enjoyed his classy posts. I thought he was a young(er) fellow, and while I don’t know any details (or need to know, for that matter), I do know that life is often too short; way to short to waste on chasing only the almighty dollar, or to put off what’s really important in life until later. I’m becoming acutely aware of this, partly by my own father’s recent passing at the age of 67.

RIP Sean, I know I missed you when you were no longer an active member here, and that’s only a faint shadow of what the ones close to you must be feeing now.

When coach and I were on one of our first hunts together, sitting by the fire after a 2hr pack in. I asked him what defines a person in life. He said without pause.....you are either a taker or giver in life was his response. Right answer as I firmly believe life is based on what a person contributes, not what you take. Based on that understanding of a mutually shared core value system we became very good friends, very good friends.
