I believe old Bonnie said to stay local in your town can't go from north van to Langley so I would assume stay in the city of kamloops don't drive out of city limits , guess everyone is SOL.

I assume she will be letting us all know what's not allowed today,I try to do my part I go fishing travel to wherever I bring all I need go by myself the only stop I make is gas don't go in and that's that,the problem is groups of people stop everywhere don't give two f#$s buddy's in one truck and so on that's what she basis closures on.

It is entirely possible to travel and not increase exposure to other communities. Bring food and water with you to avoid going into restaurants and grocery stores at your destination. Heck, if you’re really keen bring gas in a jerry can.

Well we have covid in our town for that reason alone. I have covid right now. I'm not concerned for myself but if it gets to the old folks it does do damage.

Just an ounce of respect this fall. Obviously head out into the mountains but try to avoid hitting the pubs before and after because that where it started here.

Now I've been off work, my wife has had to cancel two weeks of work, my kids aren't going to school and shits gone a little sideways in town.

So yes, travel to hunt but get your gas and stay in the mountains.

It’s delayed this year. They need to customize the regs to accommodate same region applications to avoid travel. It’s posted on the site last night. That’s why the regs are not out yet

Bang on. Pretty much what most guys I know do anyway. Can't hunt in town... and a post hunt whiskey by the campfire is a better option.

That said, keep in mind that there is collateral damage to peoples livelihoods as well... If you do need to stop for something you forgot. Be generous with your spend. Out of sympathy for the tough times our small rural communities are facing I will run up my tab somewhat in order to do my part to keep these fine people from losing there businesses. If their sign says open, then that is what they are... Every person I have met since this hypersensitivity to the flu started has been very vocal in their appreciation that some people care and will continue to stop and transact with them, share some stories, etc. (Who doesn't love the guy at the Avola gas station?) Be respectful, maintain your distance and follow the guidelines you are comfortable with.

Kamloops lake sheep, spences bridge sheep are up in the 1000-1 range. Some of the island elk are up there too. The easier the hunt and the more desirable the species the higher the odds.

I think I posted this before but if you apply for an LEH draw and are lucky enough to get the draw and it is out of your health region you may be screwed . You would waste the draw and then be buggered with your odds for a few more years

In this instance, I strongly encourage all hunters for follow the provincial guidelines. “All hunters are required to hold off on submitting limited entry applications until “Fishhunt” from Hunting BC submits his Elk and Moose then posts his selections online on HuntingBC. Once posted online, all other hunters in BC are permitted to submit their LEH applications, however, no other hunter is permitted to submit for the same draws as submitted by “Fishhunt”. This is to ensure that “Fishunt” will be guarantee success for his draws”.
