Well I had to work for this guy. I shot him at about 70-80 yrds, broke both front legs and he dropped a bit and then ran into the river, swam across to the far shore and died. I had to cross on a fallen tree and toss a line to retrieve him and then toss the line back to the other side and haul him up the bank. Tough deer (2X4 mulie) Sorry for the bad pics

Well that's Hunting........not always pretty when it comes to killing stuff.

I kept thinking theres no way he can keep going any farther (Wrong) Then when he was in the water I just hoped he would make it to the other side and not sail off down stream!! He stopped about 15-20 ft off shore, I was able to toss a line around his antlers without getting wet. Good thing I had plenty of rope.

Talking about retrieving a buck by crossing freezing water, ask me! :D That's why I always keep a lot of ropes in my truck. Funny story, nice buck!

No kidding, I dragged my moose through a lake for 2 hours chipping a trail through ice, you hadder easy, well easier than me anyway! Good job, it always feels good to work for em a little when the day is over! :-)
