I had typed up a big story but the site punted me out before I could post and it was lost and I lost the will to re-type it. We saw a bunch of moose 5 different bulls Sako 7 saw 4 of them and we both managed to tag out so filled 2 out of 3 tags. We basically hunted 4 days and were snow stormed out on one day with rain to follow. I shot my first immature bull (never see them) on day 1 and Sako7 shot his first bull on day 4. The area we hunt apparently had up to 40 feet of snow in places according to the C/O that checked camp. We felt lucky to get our moose according to some reports and left a day early. W were skunked in the same spot last year go figure ?

Nice work, good to see the moose are HBC members. Maybe thats why they are getting smarter?

We Just Got Back From Region 6-4.
Dropped 1 Big Bull.
Seen 2 More Bull's Hanging In Camp's.
1 Of Which Got Confiscated Because The Hunter's Desided To Shoot It A Day Before The Season Opened

Pupper Thanks, If you only seen how long it takes us to run all the ropes, I was pleasantly surprised that they were members of this great club as well

30-06 Good to hear you managed to get one as well. Have you posted it up yet ? I am behind on reading a lot of the threads. It was nice to have the snow to confirm the mooses were abouts. We were in 6-9

Caveman I was happy with any points on this trip. It did seem to have a nice typical, long points. Easy to idendify if it was immy season only.

Trigger ya we were a couple hours drive near your part of the woods, We got about 8-10 inches but a lot of it melted fast with the rain.

Will Thanks ya 40 feet seemed excessive to us as well but that is what the CO said. He said he helped Helicoptor out a whack of hunters and various bush workers with about 5 feet down in 3 day's. He said they could not even get snowmobiles in there. I spoke to one Hunting party that with 5 feet of snow early last year hot wired a D-9 and plowed the road and towed out some of the trucks. They reported it to the owner were they left it after and offered to pay for the fuel but the owner said they did him a favour getting it near a main road. We did use chains last year to get out.
