Dog Allergies

Has anyone ever heard of a dog being allergic to neoprene? My pointer seems to get skin irritation from the neoprene vests. I though it was only wear the vests (tried a couple of different ones) were moving a lot like where the vests ended on her back or armpits but after last weekend it's almost all the way up her back. Nothing else in her diet or in our house has changed so I am a little confused.
It doesn't seem to bother her to much but still sucks. She gets rinsed and washed as soon as we get home from hunting.

Hmm, new one to me, but it is possible. However, if your dog is swimming in her neoprene vest it might be the trapped moisture causing irritation or even a superficial infection rather than a true allergy.
Quick way to find out is to have her wearing a dry vest on dry skin for a few hours.
