Sept 21st 2020 was day i got this Bull , after a 28 hour drive got us to our Destination , Wasn't sure how things were going to play out with covid19 and the fn not wanting us there . but we had no problems with any fn ,didn't even see any .
IT was the first day that we were there around 1:00 in afternoon i got this guy. that was the third bull we seen that day , My son and i had to make about 1 1/2 km stalk they were bedded down , but because there was no cover to get behind we got within 400 yards of them before they got up and were going to leave , so after a couple 400 yard shots he was down for good with one behind the front shoulder , the first shot I miss judged the distance . hard to tell when its that open . next time i'll take range finder. we seen a couple small bull moose but nothing we wanted and lots of grizzlys as well as some nice stone rams .thanks to those who give me solid advise
That’s a stomper caribou. Good for you.

Congrats! Formidable antlers!
Never hunted caribou or elk. Only moose & deer.
Eve(wife) said the caribou meat is hard to beat. Reinhardt, her dad, introduced her to it.

Hello Trapper, congratulations on the Caribou. We were lucky enough to draw the Atlin Caribou for this fall and wondering if you would have any advice for making the trek up there. Any advice willing to share would be greatly appreciated.
