Snow geese near kamloops?

My dad told me he wants to get into snow geese and canada geese hunting (kamloops area), though I have no idea how to hunt these things. What kind of areas/terrain should I be looking for? Is there a particular place near kamloops I should be looking for them? any advice helps. Thanks

Canada Geese are few and far between in Kamloops, a few big flocks will find a good field and stay there, mostly near the river. We arent in a major flyway so not a ton of moving birds during the day. As for Snows, Ive never seen snow geese in Kamloops just the lower mainland.

Fields along the South Thompson between Monte Creek and Chase harbor a few geese. Getting permission to hunt on them is another thing. And you have to be mindful that you are not shooting swans as they are plentiful. Usually you will not find them in the fields but they will be upside down sifting the shallows.
