Is there anywhere just to hang a deer in Dawson creek. I’m up there working and staying in a hotel.it’s cold enough to just hang outside but no where to hang it. Any suggestions besides paying the meat cutter.

How about in your hotel bathroom? If it has a window to leave open? It would be like the chainsaw scene in Scarface! I’m half kidding...

You don’t really need to “Hang it “ ! I guess it all depends , are you cutting it up yourself do you have time or working long hours .

If it’s cold enough, and I sure it is, can you just roll it up in a tarp and leave it in your truck? If I lived up there I’d offer up somewhere at my place, but alas, I’m not.

I would also go with storing it in the back of the truck, gutted and open it up, ensure it cools down first....would be ideal if you could find a wood pallet to help with airflow underneath it

Truck works. I recently drove around with 2 deer swinging from my headache rack in game bags. In past years I'd lay them out on aluminum ramps in the bed of my truck.

The truck idea is ......Well the deer if you get it is gonna freeze solid ...Must be a cooler somewhere ...Dennis

I heard one of the union halls in Sparwood has a walk-in that they make available to hunters. I don't know if that is a regular thing at union halls but it might be worth a couple calls. If nothing else, you'll chat with someone that lives in DC and they might be able to steer you in the right direction.

Cut the meat off the bone and put it in a cooler. Put the cooler in your SUV.

Why is this a problem?

Honestly I personally dont hang my animal longer than I need to get the job done if tou have the knives and knowhow grab a few cheep coolers and a 20$ table and chop the bugger into managable recoganisable peices leaving evidence and drive like the wind

What about calling Corlaines and asking them. They are people in the know at least
