got me a moose

well after a very hectic few days and not getting the opportunity to get out and fill my leh, i finally found the time to get out yesterday. After missing the whole first week of my draw, i only had one left. To make a long story short went out for a sunday drive, passed on a nice 4 pt buck. I decided to check one last area before heading home. On the way in, it started pouring rain so i decided to say "oh well" for today and head home. Turned around and was just heading out and just happened to look over and see a MONSTER cow and what i thought was a bull just standing there looking at me. A quick glance through the binos' confirmed that is was a nice bull. One shot with the 338, a cartwheeling moose and the rest we say is "meat in the freezer":-D. the bull is a 5x3, not to big and not to small.

Lets just say the front end of the cherokee was a little light on the way home..... hahahahah

nice goin Jess. I took the wife out for a drive with my leh in hand and managed to get a bull, and cure the wife of ever wanting to moose hunt again. she didnt like the recovery out of a clear cut
