A buddy of mine up in Ft Nelson gets his Moose, takes it to the meat cutter and gets it cut and wrapped.
His Son comes for a visit from Peace River Alta, He gives his boy a cooler of meat to take back with him
The CO's have a road block, and check things out, the CO's proceed to give his boy a citation for transporting wild game without a permit.
I always thought that after you got wild game home it was yours to give it to whoever you wanted ?
Were the CO's right in giving out a ticket ?
The CO's were going to handout 3 tickets and take the meat away.
My buddy knows the CO's up there and talked to them while his boy was in the check point.
His boy was able to keep the meat, and the CO's are saying he still has to pay the one fine.
I do know if someone else is transporting your game to the cooler/meat cutter you need to fill out that form in the regs.
But after the game has been processed ?
What say you all
