nice pics. He sure would make a nice looking rug. but i would probably get a shorter jail sentence if I shot another human.

Last person who shot one here in Terrace got a slap on the wrist and a fine. Given the fact it was a Terrace icon (OL' Gimpy") and he was the son of a prominent Dentist, there was a lot of speculation around it. He had a pretty lame excuse about it. Anyway if you ever go through the Terrace airport, say hello to him as he is stuffed and on display!

They make a good life-size mount, too.
Thanks for sharing.

Look out now Houston is goingto be on the hit list and be invaded by granola munchers now that they know there are "spirit bears" what ever the hell that is in your area. If you plan on building anything in your area you better do it soon as all building in the "spirit bears" territory will be banned. Nice pictures of an odd looking black bear.

this is the exact reason i wont tell people where i saw him. a guys got to be careful, next thing you know they will shut down the logging.

The other thing is, there are more of these bears around than people think.

What is the difference between a Kermode adn an albino? I would LOVE to do an Archery Polar Bear Hunt! Talk about the big one!!! I lived n yellowknife for a couple years and travelled extensively acros the arctic ocean shore... what a wonderful part of the world! i'd also like to go after a barren land grizz some day too! Gets me all tingly just thinking about it! shiver....

Nice pics.

Last year I was visiting my grandparents in terrace and a Kermode came up into their yard and picked around for awhile then came up onto the porch.

I have pictures but no scanner. My grandpa gave 1 of his friends a picture and its on huntshoot but I can't find it.

Beautiful bears!
