Blair Mitchell, who is a Boone and Crockett official measurer, completed the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation score sheet for the bull and the animal had a score of 421 5/8 gross for non-typical elk. Mitchell said afterwards that it was an “honour and privilege to put the tape on the largest wild bull elk I’ve ever laid my eyes on.” The animal has the largest mass of the 72 non-typical bulls in the Henry Kelsey Record Book. It will also be entered in the Boone and Crockett Record Book, under both typical and non-typical elk.

What a bull! Massive! Just a question though, would that bull be a Manitoba Elk or a Rocky Mountain Elk?

very impressive would be interesting to see the typical B.C. score looks like the 2 NT tines would both be over 10 inches

Congrats! ....not surprised though...I’m from the area and it’s known for huge critters especially whitetail. It was apparently taken on the Saskatchewan side of the border in Duck Mountain Park. There’s a bit of a story in the Kamsack Times on line edition.
Another incredibly beautiful part of Canada!

Did they have a real wet spring, the year that Milo Hanson shot the world record it was a real wet spring and summer and there was lots of good feed for deer, moose and elk, just a thought.
