Well i missed out on this one, but i will be on the next for sure. Took 4 guys to land this fish in 1.5hrs. 10.5ft to the fork and 5.5ft around or gurth. Enjoy the pics....

I have my own boat and gear - just need a new guide
That is one monster dino - wow I could never in my wildest dreams imagine bringing something that big up to the boat - I would fall over board

They definately are out there....watched one beached a couple of weeks ago that went 9ft 10inch.....
We are still waiting for Walter......will keep at it every weekend until we find him...:smile:

I wouldn't dream of using "mono" for sturgeon fishing. But i get the sarcasm. You would cut the fish into pieces. We use 110 to 120 lb Tuff line and 130lb Dacron leaders. This fish was caught using a quarter sized roe ball......

Never fished for them beasts. Maybe one day I'll go out w/ a Halli set-up and give er a whirl.
