Hey guys, I need new battery's for truck. Are the Costco batteries good enough for a 2007 GMC 2500HD 4x4 Diesel?
Does anyone have with experience with the Costco Batteries?
Happy Hunting!

Vibration, gravel roads, is a killer on truck batteries . I've had Costco batteries die very prematurely in my Jeep Cherokee. The lead foam plates break free and short out the battery. I switched to Optima.

I use them in my diesel truck ( 4 years ) and also in my boat ( 3 years ). The boat spends about 3 months each year on the ocean. So far no problems...just jinxed myself.

my brother in law ran them in his F-350 for a number of year, no issues. But I expect they were the best quality component in that ford

Have you tried Edmonds Batteries, they sell a number of different brands and have people that could give reasoned advice. I have found them to be the best price for quality batteries each time I have checked.

Costco buys batteries from the supplier that gives the best price, which may change and not be the best quality. And they rely on the prorated warranty to solve any problems. The advice to talk to a battery retailer is good. BTW Optima aren't as good as they once were, I'm hearing.

Almost all batteries are made by the same manufacturer.. Johnson batteries being the leader in manufacturing. I am guessing with the volume Costco sells, Johnson is their supplier..

I like Costco batteries. Use 2 at a time in my F350 7.6l diesel. The batteries are well warrantied, and should they die before 4 years have lapsed, you get new batteries for the environmental fee.

I personally like to Stick with oem quality parts. AC Delco is a good brand and have never had issues with there batteries.

I've used Costco batteries for at least 10 years and they all seem to last as they should. One ton truck, lots of gravel roads.

I use them in my boat too.

My friend recommended me Polar batteries when my old battery died 5 or 6 years ago and they installed one of their own batteries. Haven't had a battery issue since so I'd definitely say they are worth checking out

I use AC Delco from lordco. I'm sure it's all the same crap but I put my 5.9 diesel to work everyday and I seem to get at least 4 years.

optima are crap these days with production moving to Mexico.

There are, I believe 3 battery mfgs for standard flooded lead acid batteries, of which johnson controls is the largest. With the vast majority of black plastic box style batteries, the difference between brands is the colour of sticker on the outside.

I have several costco batteries, 2 in my 7.3 diesel, 1 on my travel trailer, and have run a couple in 4x4s. Extensive winch use, even some rollovers, and no problems.

I’m using the agm from Costco, shouldn’t suffer the vibration issues of a traditional lead acid
