Well after wacking my first coyote this past week, it got me thinking, and i couldnt find anything in the regs about it, would it be considered illegal to wait over a gut pile/bone pile for the coyotes to come in and then smack them as they came up to it, i guess it would be called baiting lol. Heres a couple pics of the dog

It's legal to bait yotes, you just arent' supposed to "feed" them.

Just be careful if you have a bear tag...

Beauty thanks fellas, yeah it would be unfortunate if a bear came around, it would probably deter the coyotes, but i didnt get a bear tag this year so at least if a co comes around there shouldnt be any problems.....

According to the regilations, you can "bait" for coyotes, however you can not doe this for bears or migratory birds (within XXX m of a sanctuary...All other is fair game,,

Watching a gut pile for coyotes/wolves is legal.


Just be careful if you have a bear tag...

so at least if a co comes around there shouldnt be any problems.....
Your not in trouble if a bear walks in, even if you do have a tag!

I am fully aware of the laws in regards to baiting. I simply meant you may have some explaining to do.

lol, yeah a good pair indeed, shes already been dropped off at the chilcotin fur tannery yesterday, kind of a trophy for my first yote, hopefully i can bag a few more this fall/winter, who knows what i will do with them if i am succesful
