Need PAL to get hunting licence?

Hey ya'll. I'm thinking of getting into bow hunting and I'm wondering if anyone of you know if I will need a PAL to get a hunting licence or to buy a bow?

Or is the PAL strictly for purchasing fire arms?

Take the CORE course. Get your hunter number. Buy your license. Buy tags. Grab bow and go.

To my knowledge, if you have a PAL, you do not need to take the practical firearms safety portion of the CORE exam. That's all. You can take that exam as part of your CORE and get the hunter number without a PAL

Almost. You need your actual firearms course paperwork results in order to skip the firearms safety portion of the core. The PAL isn't enough on its own.

That said, the safety test during a core class is extremely easy and the instructor will usually help ensure you pass it. Just don't point the gun at them. ��
