The season is close upon us and i imagine a lot of you are counting down the days just as I am. So I had a question I looked in the regs but it didn't give me the clear cut answer I was hoping for. I was wondering of you are aloud to hunt on and near tricouni peak. If anyone knows that would be great thanks

Depends what you're hunting for. What's your target species? Goats are closed there.

If you haven't been there before, it's worth scouting before you spend hunting time there.

Trying for deer but just wasn't sure if its open or not to hunt

Ya it's legal to hunt. Tough zone for sure, but pretty country.

Thank you for the help I did look closer and realized it is, does anyone know how far in you can take a truck?

Trailhead is 2wd and gets you about 2 hrs from the alpine. It's a very popular hiking trail for backpackers and climbers.
